The Colac Otway Shire extends from Cressy in the North to Forrest, Beech Forrest and Crowes in the South, from Pirron Yallock and Alvie in the West to Birregurra and Dean Marsh in the East.

The book is divided into chapters for

  • the Main Line (from Geelong to Warrnambool);
  • the Cressy Line;
  • the Forrest Line;
  • the Beech Forest line and
  • the Alvie Line.

For each line, there is a section devoted to each station and siding, there are paragraphs describing the location, its passenger and freight traffic and its chronology.  For most locations, there are also black and white photographs.

There are also appendices dealing with Safeworking, Staffing at Colac and statistics giving passenger numbers and inward and outward goods.

The 262-page book is A4 in size, in illustrated soft covers and has approximately 282 black.white photographs, station track diagrams, maps.

For posting, the book will be packed in a stout cardboard book mailing box.  The book weighs, when packed, 1195 grams.  As a consequence, Parcel Post applies.  Additional Postal services are available and will be charged at cost, upon request.
For posting to destinations outside Australia, Airmail will be used at the most economical rate.  Faster but more expensive services are available on request and will be charged at cost.
